It's the little challenges conquered in my daily work that add up to something special. I like to say it takes thousands of good decisions to make architecture.
Since my last deconstruction post many months ago I've been at the drawing board, visiting showrooms, researching, taking inspiration from travel, experiences and friends; working to make a dent in those "thousands" of decisions. Despite numerous hurdles, we've experienced some momentous occasions worth sharing.
We have a design for the Down & Up House and the project is registered with USGBC's LEED for Homes Program. The permit is in place and I am the contractor on my own merit as Lantz Full Circle Build. Our lender, Bank of Houston, fully supports our project with financing and enthusiasm, a rarity in our current economic climate.
Now we dig a hole. Did I mention the basement? More to come...
Karen

Karen, I live down the street from your new house, and I was wondering what the hole was for. I thought it was way too big to be a pool! Can't wait to hear about the basement. I'm looking forward to seeing your house go up. It's a beautiful design.
ReplyDeleteVery exciting, Karen. I'm looking forward to updates during the construction!
